The car has been produced since 2003 by the Japanese group Nissan under the more luxurious Infiniti brand. The FX model is the successor to the slightly smaller QX4. The first generation was named FX35 and FX45, which were associated with engine capacities. The car was available for sale both in the rear-wheel drive version and in the 4x4 version. The FX35 was equipped with a 300 HP gasoline engine with an aluminum block, electronically controlled throttle, molybdenum coated pistons. The power unit cooperated with a five-speed automatic transmission, which was equipped with manual mode. FX45 is a version with a 4.5l engine with 320hp, equipped with titanium suction and exhaust valves, light pistons and "super-quiet" timing chain. In 2004 the car received front seat adjustment in 8 planes, as well as optional aluminum roof rails. In 2005, a warning system was introduced to avoid unintentional lane departure and an airbag mounted in the roof to protect passengers during roll-over. In addition, the FX45 received a dark grill and changed headlights. In 2006, a face facelift was made, which included changing the front bumper, grill, wheels and the central tunnel. The standard equipment now includes 300 watt sound system, reversing camera, 7 inch color screen, leather armchairs. The FX45 version received a changed suspension, bluetooth system, and the premium package became standard.
