VW Amarok is a step towards the American market, because that's where pickup vehicles are well perceived. Nevertheless, the European market perfectly takes on the fashion for this type of body, which is why Amarok is also very well on this market. This model was created in order to create a greater choice for customers who have so far chosen Toyota Hilux or Nissan Navara, having nothing in this class that would be produced by a German manufacturer. Amarok offers its customers a frame-based body whose suspension is a double-swing design. To drive the body mainly used diesel units with a capacity of 2.0l and powers from 120HP to 180HP. Only one gasoline version with 2.0l capacity and 160HP is available. The drive can be transmitted only to the rear axle or all wheels depending on the chosen equipment version. In 2015 an Amarok face lifting was carried out, during which the 2.0TDI engine was replaced by a 3.0L unit
