The third generation of one of the smallest Kia models was presented in 2017 at the Geneva Motor Show. According to the manufacturer's assurances, the car has gained a new lighter body and modern design. Picanto is offered in 3 engine versions. Two of them have a capacity of 1.0l known from the previous generation. One of these engines is naturally aspirated, while the other has more turbine power. The third engine variant has a capacity of 1.2l and gasoline is also used to power it. The smaller capacity units are connected to a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the 1.2 engine can also be equipped with an automatic gearbox. Picanto is equipped with a system that improves cornering stability, which works by properly braking individual wheels. The standard version is also equipped with a collision warning system. Crash tests carried out by Euro NCAP gave a 3 star rating.
