History Renault Megane III

The third generation of the famous Renault Megane model was first presented in Paris during the Motor Show in 2008. The sales success of the previous version successively delayed the appearance of the newer generation. The silhouette of the car has undergone a big change, the profile of the hatchback tailgate has been completely changed, which was vertically bevelled in the upper part. Renault Megane III has become more rounded at the rear and the front. The enlarged front lamps also optically enlarge the car. In 2012, the car underwent a small facelift, LED daytime running lights were added, silver strips and a black bumper finish were added. Inside the third generation, the key change compared to Megane II is the arrangement of the clocks. An electronic speed indicator appeared in the foreground, while the tachometer acts as a visual addition. The "command" panel in the middle of the cockpit has been slid down, making the whole look more coherent and elegant.

Supporters of Renault Megane III could choose the model using a wide range of engine and equipment. A new 1.2-liter engine was introduced, while larger engines from previous versions gained more power. The smallest gasoline unit generates 115HP, and the largest with a capacity of 2.0 l up to 220HP. Three diesel engines have power from 85 to 160 HP. An exception not classified in the standard combination is the RS version equipped with a 250hp two-liter gasoline engine.
