• We should pay attention to the shape of the tire's supporting rim. Any bend or surface defect on the rim can result in air leakage from the tire.
• Next, let's take a look at the individual ventilation holes in the rims. They should be free of sharp edges or burrs left over from manufacturing.
• We also check whether the valve hole has any defects or sharp edges.
• We carefully measure the central hole.
• If we buy rims from a specialized workshop, the rims should be checked on a balancing machine to eliminate any deviations in the mounting plane.
• Counterfeit rims also differ in weight from their original counterparts. You can find a list of the weights of specific rim models online for comparison purposes.
