New summer tires for the 2019 season? Make the right choice!

2019-03-13

Now that warm weather has finally arrived and the time for clearing snow from our cars is slowly fading away, most drivers are starting to consider replacing their tires with summer models, which offer better performance and reduced noise at higher speeds. Unfortunately, some of us are discovering that last year's tires are no longer suitable for use, either due to low tread or tire age. Unfortunately, sifting through the countless reviews of various models, choosing the right one isn't easy. New products appear on the market every season, but it's often worth investing in tires that have been proven and available for some time. It's important to note that, often blinded by test results, we forget how easy it is to fall victim to certain trends and overinvest in features we won't actually use. Every driver should first and foremost ask themselves about their driving style and the capabilities of their car, and only then tailor the tire model to their specific needs and vehicle. As a company passionate about the automotive industry, we will present you with several recommendations and suggest which ones are worth choosing, taking into account your car and driving style.

1. Sporty driving style and a powerful car:

Pirelli P Zero – If you have a car with over 300 hp and enjoy cruising at highway speeds, you should definitely consider this model. These tires are the standard fitment on the most high-performance cars used by track professionals. They significantly improve stability and grip in corners, offering excellent grip even at high speeds and improving the car's responsiveness.

The Continental PremiumContact 6 is a tire that also performs perfectly on sports cars and provides excellent handling. Unfortunately, it falls short of the Pirelli in terms of braking on dry surfaces, but it is better when driving in the rain. The tire also reduces road noise.

Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2 - this is another proposal that is ideal for drivers who like fast driving and good handling in the rain, and at the same time who like silence and economy resulting from the low rolling resistance of the tire.

2. Moderate driving style (mainly long journeys) and a large car:

The Bridgestone Turanza T005 is a tire that perfectly combines precise handling on dry surfaces with good grip in wet conditions. The tire provides excellent braking performance on wet surfaces and is highly resistant to aquaplaning.

The Goodyear Eagle F1 is another model that will appeal to drivers who like to keep an eye on other road users in their rearview mirror, even in poor weather conditions. These tires provide good braking on wet surfaces, yet remain quiet and allow them to utilize the car's power when cornering.

3. City driving – large and compact cars with increased power:

The Kleber Dynaxer HP 3 is a tire that performs perfectly in city driving, both in sunny and rainy weather. This model allows for safe braking, but also allows for dynamic driving in compact cars like the VW Golf GTI, which offers quite a bit of power.

The Uniroyal RainSport 3 is a tire that, in addition to its excellent handling characteristics, also impresses many customers with its appearance. Its tread pattern is associated with a sporty driving style and will find many fans who enjoy modifying their vehicles.

4. City driving - compact cars with medium and low power:

The Hankook S1 evo2 is a tire that combines excellent performance with a reasonable price. It's perfect for city driving, but also performs well on long journeys for drivers who adhere to the speed limit.

The Falken Azenis FK510 is a tire with very good grip on dry surfaces, but performs averagely in the rain. Nevertheless, it's perfect for drivers who primarily drive in the city. It's worth noting that this model can also handle highway driving, provided you use it sensibly.

Of course, when preparing our recommendations, we relied on our own experience and the opinions of our customers. It's important to emphasize that each of the models presented will handle most cars, and our article only provides a suggestion as to which model is worth investing in, depending on your car category and driving style. We hope we've made it easier for you to choose tires for the new season.
