The car was initially available as a body version - hatchback. Subsequently, the sales of station wagons began in 2005 and in 2007. joined by the sedan version. The 3-door body ceased to be offered in 2010. The standard equipment of the car had: ABS, power steering, air conditioning with manual control, electric mirrors and windows. For a surcharge, the car could be equipped with navigation. Subdued in terms of style, the interior of the car was finished with good quality materials. The Astra has a fairly hard configured suspension, which improves vehicle control, but the comfort of traveling on poor surfaces is less pleasant. The car, due to the low price and low operating costs, has become popular. Also a very wide range of engines and nice styling resulted in customers. The car received a set of stars in the Euro NCAP crash tests.
