History VW Tiguana I

Car of the German concern, presented for the first time in 2006 in Los Angeles. The car was based on the PQ35 floor plate from VW Golf. By 2011, over 700,000 units of this model had been sold. Despite the increased ground clearance, the vehicle was also available with front-wheel drive only. The design of the car provided an attack angle of 18ᴼ. Versions with 4-motion drive were equipped with a Haldex differential, which under normal conditions transfers most of the power to the front wheels, but if they slip almost 100% of the power could hit the rear axle. This solution provided low fuel consumption, but also the ability to move in more difficult terrain. The range of available engines offered power from 122 to 200 HP. In 2011, a delicate face lifting was carried out, which involved changing the front lamps, the dummy and the rear lamps.
